Normandy (0-3 at Central (0-3), 7 p.m.

* Last year's meeting: Central 19, Normandy 18

* Last week's games: Blytheville, Ark., 32, Central 0; Jennings 26, Normandy 8

* Notes: A week after Hykeem Hammonds rushed for 118 yards, the Tigers' rushing game was limited to just 6 yards in a shutout loss to Blytheville. Central quarterback Garrett Stevens completed 20 of 35 passes, but did not complete any deep passes. Stevens has been picked off seven times this season and has yet to throw a touchdown. Scott Dunaway leads the Tigers with 13 receptions for 108 yards. Ty Craft has 119 yards receiving on eight catches. Normandy's offense is led by running backs Quintin Morris and Dominique Graham, who have each averaged more than five yards per carry on the ground.

Friday, Sept. 23

Jackson (1-2) at Sikeston (0-3), 7 p.m.

* Last year's meeting: Jackson 28, Sikeston 8

* Last week's games: Vianney 35, Jackson 14; Dexter 31, Sikeston 7

* Notes: Jackson's secondary should get a break this week in the SEMO North opener after facing constant pressure over the first three games. Vianney passed for more than 200 yards agains the Indians. Jackson's Trae Smith rushed for 52 yards late in last week's loss, which was his first game after missing the first two due to injury. Joel Penrod was limited to just 20 yards on eight carries against Vianney after racking up 190 yards againt Roosevelt.

Brentwood (1-2) at Scott City (0-3), 7 p.m.

* Last year's meeting: Scott City 31, Brentwood 7

* Last week's games: East Prairie 35, Scott City 15; Westminster 54, Brentwood 14

* Notes: Scott City had success rushing against East Prairie, with Jonathan Barr leading the Rams with 145 yards on 23 carries. Chris Blankenship added 76 rushing yards on 13 carries. Unfortunately, the Rams could do little with the team speed of East Prairie led by running back Paris Tipler. Brandon Ellis leads Brentwood's offense with four touchdowns, and leads the team with 511 yards rushing on 59 carries. Andrew Newberry has completed 24 of 44 passes for 281 yards for Brentwood.

Grandview (2-1) at St. Vincent (1-2), 7 p.m.

* Last year's meeting: St. Vincent 40, Grandview 7

* Last week's games: Potosi 21, St. Vincent 16; St. Pius 42, Grandview 26

* Notes: Waylon Richardet rushed for 170 yards but the Indians lost to Potosi for the second straight season. St. Vincent begins defense of its MAFC Blue Division championship against Grandview. Billy Langhans leads Grandview with 612 yards rushing on 61 carries. Langhans also leads Grandview with seven touchdowns. Through three games Grandview is 0-for-1 passing.

Ste. Genevieve (3-0) at Perryville (0-3), 7 p.m.

* Last year's meeting: Ste. Genevieve 28, Perryville 14

* Last week's games: Herculaneum 20, Perryville 0; Ste. Genevieve 10, Festus 7 (OT)

* Notes: Perryville will go from one ranked Class 3 team to another, hosting the fourth-ranked Dragons of Ste. Genevieve. The Pirates have been shut out in two of three games this season. Ste. Genevieve accounted for two of Perryville's six losses last season, including a 20-7 loss to the Dragons in the sectional round of the state playoffs.

Saturday Chaffee (0-3) at Portageville (1-2), 4 p.m.

* Last year's meeting: Portageville 39, Chaffee 14

* Last week's games: Crystal City 48, Chaffee 21; Fulton (Ky.) 42, Portageville 14

* Notes: Chaffee was only outscored 28-21 in the final three quarters of its contest with Crystal City after a poor start that included two touchdowns in the opening minutes. Jeff Daugherty threw for 149 yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. The Red Devils were lit up on the ground again, with Cody DeRousse gaining 222 yards.
