High school basketball roundup, Jan. 18: Webb and Priggel combine for 26 as Oran girls defeat Meadow Heights

Oran defeated Meadow Heights 55-45 on Wednesday at Oran High School.

The Eagles were led on offense by senior Haley Webb with 14 points followed by senior Emma Priggel with 12 points. Junior Rachael Hellebusch led Meadow Heights’ offense with 18 points followed by junior Madison Denman with 15 and freshman Jaycee Shelton with 10.

Oran will play Delta at home at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday while Meadow Heights gets Advance at home at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.

__Scott County Central 70 Oak Ridge 46__

Scott County Central defeated Oak Ridge 70-46 on Wednesday at Oak Ridge High School.

Oak Ridge was led on offense by sophomore Reagan Howe who totaled 15 points and 12 rebounds.

SCC will play Scott City in the Scott-Miss Tournament beginning Saturday and Oak Ridge will travel to take on Kelly at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Nixa 64 Notre Dame 43

Nixa defeated Notre Dame 64-43 in the first round of the Nixa Invitational Tournament on Wednesday at Nixa High School.

Notre Dame was led on offense by freshman Brie Rubel, Kate Rubel and Neveah Lucious who each finished with 10 points. On defense, Kate Rubel had six steals and senior Tori Rubel brought down seven rebounds.

Notre Dame will take on Norfolk (AR) at 6 p.m. on Friday.
