Hickman senior Justice Keith rushed for two late touchdowns as the Kewpies rallied for a 34-27 victory in overtime.
Keith, who scored three touchdowns and rushed for 176 yards, capped a 13-play drive with a 3-yard run with 1 minute, 12 seconds remaining in regulation. Sam Smith's PAT tied the score at 27-27.
Hickman's defense then pushed Jackson's offense back nine yards on its overtime possession before the Kewpies' offense found the end zone in three plays. After a 22-yard run by quarterback Mason Murray, Keith followed with a 1-yard run to seal the win.
Jackson quarterback Dante Vandeven threw for three TDs and rushed for a fourth.
Jackson (6-2) held a 13-10 halftime lead after a scoring pass of 87 yards to Xominique Davis and a 17-yard toss to Colten Proffer.
Jackson countered a Keith 12-yard scoring run and a Smith field goal with a pair of touchdowns in the third quarter. Taylor Henson pulled in a 15-yard pass that was deflected by a defender for the first score, and Vandeven scored on a 3-yard run with 1:03 left in the third quarter to break a tie and give the Indians a 27-20 lead.
Hickman improved to 3-4.
