SILVIS, Ill. -- J.P. Hayes won his second PGA Tour title Sunday, closing with a 4-under-par 67 for a four-stroke victory over Robert Gamez in the John Deere Classic.

Hayes, also the 1998 Buick Classic winner, had a 22-under 262 total on the TPC at Deere Run, the lowest score in relation to par in tournament history. David Frost had a 21-under 259 total in 1993 on the par-70 Oakwood Country Club course.

After beginning the round tied for the lead with Gamez at 18 under, Hayes birdied the first two holes to take control. Hayes added birdies on Nos. 11 and 17 in his bogey-free round.

The Wisconsin native had just one bogey in the entire tournament, on the par-4 eighth Friday when he shot a course-record 61.

LPGA: South Korea's Gloria Park made a 6-foot birdie putt on the first hole of a playoff with compatriot Hee-Won Han to win the LPGA Big Apple Classic in New Rochelle, N.Y.

Park and Han held off Annika Sorenstam in the final group of the day, finishing 72 holes at 14-under 270. Sorenstam, a six-time winner on the tour this year, shot a 1-under 70 to miss the playoff by one stroke. Park, who started the final round tied for the lead with Sorenstam, shot a 69. Han had a 67.

The victory at the 6,161-yard Wykagyl Country Club course was the second for Park, in her third year on tour. The 22-year-old won the Williams Championship last year.

SENIOR PGA: Bob Gilder won a playoff for the second straight week, beating John Mahaffey with a birdie on the third extra hole in the FleetBoston Classic at Concord, Mass.

Gilder, who beat Hale Irwin on the first playoff hole at the SBC Open in Chicago last week, closed with 2-under 70 to match Mahaffey (65) at 13-under 203.

PGA EUROPE: Germany's Tobias Dier won the Dutch Open for his second European tour title, closing with a 1-under 69 for a one-stroke victory at Hilversum, Netherlands.

The 25-year-old Dier, who shot a European tour-record tying 60 in the first round, had a 17-under 263 total on the Hilversumsche course.

SENIOR PGA EUROPE: Japan's Noboru Sugai won the Senior British Open, shooting a 3-over 74 for a two-stroke victory over Canadian John Irwin at Newcastle, Northern Ireland.

BUY.COM TOUR: Patrick Sheehan won his first Buy.com Tour title Sunday, closing with an even-par 72 for a wire-to-wire victory in the Price Cutter Charity Championship at Springfield, Mo.

He finished with a 19-under 269 total on the Highland Springs Country Club course.
