Hall column served as motivational tool

To the editor:

Are you kidding me? How can you possibly be mad at Jamie Hall? This guy is a genius, this guy is a mastermind at his job. Do you not see what he has done? He has done everything we can ask for and people are still mad.

I understand that people think he shot a direct bullet at our city and at our fans, but he was only trying to help. That women's team has no reason whatsoever to be ashamed or embarrassed by this article. Before the original article, written by Mr. Hall, the girl's team was still the same ol' team, with crappy fan support, and a new coach. That was all. Now what is it? It's the talk of the town, everywhere I go I hear people talking about that article, the team, and the new coach. People are furious toward Mr. Hall and they have no reason to be. He has done his job to perfection.

Forget about needing the booster club's help. Forget about advertising games. Forget about giving away free tickets. Mr. Hall has done it all for us. He has got the city interested in the team again. He has caught our attention. He has got you anxious to show coach Smith that we will get behind him and show our support. He has got all of us ready for the season so that we can get out there and show those girls what kind of support we really can give them. How can you possibly be mad at Jamie Hall? DAVID UNTERREINER
