CHICAGO -- The Southeast Missouri State women's gymnastics team had a two-dual winning streak snapped Saturday night at 30th-ranked Illinois-Chicago, falling 194.200-191.725.
Southeast, which finished higher than third in only one event, fell to 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the Midwest Independent Conference.
Sandra Blake and Allison Ezell tied for first in the floor exercise with a pair of Illinois-Chicago gymnasts at 9.775. The score tied a career high for Ezell, and the Redhawks tied their season high in the event with a 48.550.
Blake placed third in the bars at 9.825, while Maureen Grimaldi tied for third in the beam at 9.675. Illinois-Chicago swept the vault.
Blake had a streak of three straight all-around titles snapped, as she finished second to Illinois-Chicago's Veronique Miller with a score of 38.800.
The Redhawks return to action Friday when they host Illinois State at Houck Field House at 7 p.m.
ST. LOUIS -- The Southeast women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 road match to St. Louis on Sunday.
Julia De Oliveira Masotti accounted for the lone victory for Southeast, defeating St. Louis' Tara Grant in No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-0. Southeast did not win a set in the other five singles matches and dropped all three doubles matches.
On Saturday, the University of Arkansas-Little Rock won its eighth straight match with a 7-0 victory over Southeast.
The Redhawks failed to win a set in both doubles and singles play.
