Southeast Missouri State University plans to hire a new women's gymnastics coach this week.
The school will hold a Wednesday afternoon press conference to introduce the successor to longtime coach Bill Hopkins, who resigned earlier this summer after 18 seasons on the job.
Hopkins led the Otahkians to a pair of national championships, in 1987 and 1991, and Southeast also qualified for several NCAA Division I regional meets under his direction.
