Lucas Glover captured his first PGA Tour victory Sunday with birdies on the last two holes, making a 40-foot putt from the fringe and a 35-foot bunker shot on the last hole to win the Funai Classic at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
Glover, who closed with a 7-under 65, was among 10 players who had a chance to win over the final four holes under threatening skies across from the Magic Kingdom.
His bunker shot on the 18th exploded from the sand, went high in the air, landed about 5 feet short of the cup and rolled in for birdie for a 23-under 265.
Tom Pernice Jr. missed a 15-foot birdie putt at the 18th that would have forced a playoff. He closed with a 69.
Jay Haas won his second Champions Tour title in three weeks, shooting a second straight 5-under 66 for a two-stroke victory over Tom Purtzer at the SBC Championship in San Antonio.
Jose Maria Olazabal won his first title in more than three years, closing with a 4-under 66 for a five-stroke victory at the Mallorca Classic.
Sergio Garcia also closed with a 66 and shared second place at 275 with Spain's Jose Manuel Lara (68) and England's Paul Broadhurst (70).
