Gill earns OVC track honor

Southeast Missouri State senior sprinter Chris Gill has been named OVC male track athlete of the week for his performance Saturday at the Tiger Invitational in Memphis, Tenn.

Gill recorded his first individual title of the season, winning the 400 meters in a personal-best 47.95 seconds. That is the top time in the OVC this year and ninth-fastest in school history.

Southeast will compete on two fronts this weekend. A select few athletes will be at the prestigious Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, while the majority of the team will compete at the SIU-Edwardsville Twilight Meet.
