LINCOLN, Neb. -- Sam Keller says he is coming to Nebraska, the Lincoln Journal Star reported Wednesday.
Seen outside Memorial Stadium on Wednesday afternoon with Cornhusker officials, Keller was asked by a reporter if he was transferring the Nebraska.
Keller responded by nodding and saying, "Yeah," before he was escorted away, the newspaper reported.
The response should end days worth of speculation that the former Arizona State starting quarterback would become a member of the Cornhuskers after being demoted to second-string by Sun Devils coach Dirk Koetter on Sunday.
Keller started seven games for Arizona State last season. He completed 58 percent of his passes for 2,165 yards and 17 touchdowns before breaking his thumb.
Koetter announced Friday that Keller would be the Sun Devils' starting quarterback. But Sunday Koetter reversed course and named Rudy Carpenter his starter.
