More Rams coverage
INSTEAD OF all the local softball and children's baseball stories and scores, which no one other than the individuals involved care about, why don't you start using some of that space to have daily stories about the St. Louis Rams? The season is only a few short weeks away. I would much rather hear about a productive, exciting team than the team that won 1-0 and the oldest player on the team is 7. Your sport pages are very boring. It's time to start reporting on the St. Louis Rams.
I would like to know what Southeast Missourian sports writer Marty Mishow meant when he called the University of Illinois basketball team the defending national runner-up in a recent article about Southeast Missouri State's schedule. If you are the runner-up, that means you lost the championship game and have no title. So exactly what are they defending? I do not mean to denigrate the accomplishments of this great team, I just think a professional writer should know better.
