More local coverage

I WOULD greatly appreciate more information in the Southeast Missourian in regard to local sports. I know that there are many sports teams that we never hear about, including but not limited to Cape's Riverdogs, some coed softball teams and so on. I think it would do the city good to hear what the youths are up to as far as sports are concerned.

(The Riverdogs are scheduled to play the Capahas today. Look for coverage in Monday's edition.)

Low standing for Southeast

I SEE that Southeast Missouri State finished low in the Ohio Valley Conference all-sports standings in both men's and women's athletics this year. It's not just our imagination that the Southeast athletic program is quickly becoming noncompetitive in an already weak Division I conference.
