I'VE WAITED and waited and waited through the season for NASCAR reporting. I guess they don't realize that there are thousands of NASCAR fans in the area. There's people that meet every Sunday before the races, get together and go over their pools and watch the races together. It's a much bigger sport than a lot of other stuff in the paper every day, and all we get is a little briefly section maybe once a week to tell us who won the race and what happened. You can't get any updates on the points leaders or anything. It's sad, but that's the way it is.

Insensitive headline

I JUST wanted to say that the headline in Tuesday's sport section, "Bulldogs' seniors enjoy the last laugh," was extremely rude. I am a fan of soccer down here in the Southeast region and enjoy watching the games between Notre Dame and Central. Notre Dame came out to be the better team in this game, and I just wanted to give credit to Central for playing hard and tough, since the article had no good things about you. Keep working hard and I hope you "beat up" the Bulldogs next year.

Hooray for horseshoes

NICE ARTICLE on Doris Stubenrauch. We need articles that include sports such as horseshoes that can be played for a "lifetime" and not just the three major sports that we seldom play after high school.
