EXPERT PANEL TRIES TO DETHRONE BREER

Southeast Missourian sports editor Jeff Breer will be out to defend his Weekly Media Grid Picks championship this year.

The annual football selection contest kicks off this week as high school teams get there seasons going tonight.

Panel members will each week predict the outcomes of selected high school games, along with Southeast Missouri State University, Missouri and St. Louis Rams contests.

Once again the panel will feature six familiar local media figures.

Taking part in the Weekly Media Grid Picks, in addition to Breer, are Southeast Missourian sports writers Marty Mishow and Rus Baer; KFVS sports director Randy Ray; and KZIM-KEZS's Mike Legg (the voice of Southeast's Indians) and Brad Palmer (the voice of Cape Central's Tigers).
