Eureka scored on a 1-yard Walter Williams run in the first quarter and it proved to be enough against the struggling Jackson Indians, who fell to 0-8 with a 7-0 loss in the first week of district play.

Williams' run came after Eureka (3-4) connected on a 25-yard pass on a fake punt from the Indians' 45. Four plays later, Williams went over the right side of the line for the game's lone touchdown.

Jackson's offense struggled the entire game. The Indians mounted just 36 yards of offense in the first half and finished with 143 yards for the game.
