Janice Eckert was recently inducted into the Cape Girardeau Women's Bowling Association Hall of Fame.
Eckert has bowled in the local association for 25 years and has served as vice-president of the organization since 1993. She held the office of sergeant-at-arms from 1978-79; was vice-president from 1979-84; and a director from 1988-93. She has also served as president and secretary-treasurer of several leagues.
She has also been a delegate to the Missouri Women's Bowling Association's annual convention for 15 years, has bowled in state tournaments for 20 years and has competed in three national tournaments.
She is a charter member of the Missouri 600 Series Club and a member of the National 600 Club. She became a member of the National 700 Club in 1995.
She has won numerous individual awards and was a member on the CGWBA championship team in 1984,1996 and 1997.
