The Nos. 2 and 3 seeds advanced Tuesday to the semifinals in the Scott-Mississippi Conference Tournament at Chaffee.

No. 4 Oran, which had won Monday, will play top-seeded Kelly, which had a first-round bye, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Second-seeded Scott City will take on Scott County Central at 9 p.m.

Scott City (9-6) cruised by No. 7 Chaffee 72-21, holding the Red Devils (3-9) to two first-quarter points. Scott City led 36-10 at halftime and outscored Chaffee 28-9 in the third quarter.

Ethan Watkins hit five 3-pointers en route to a game-high 23 points. Rynn Eskew added 15 points and Andy Stephens had 11.

Jeff Daugherty led Chaffee with 11 points.

Scott County Central (6-9), the third seed, ended its five-game losing streak and beat Delta 89-64 in the other quarterfinal. Sixth-seeded Delta (4-8) held a slim 20-19 first-quarter lead, but was outscored 50-24 over the next two quarters.

D.D. Gillespie led the Braves with 24 points. Caleb Johnson had 23, Josh Chamberlain added 18, Drew Thomas had 12 and Pershard Owens scored 11.

Terrence Below led Delta with 22 points and Aaron Kinder had 20.

The Tigers (8-6) trailed by two after three quarters but outscored the Raiders 28-20 in the final frame.

Central, which had only five players in the scoring column, outrebounded North County (8-8) 34-24 and drained 18 of its 24 free throws.

Adrian Cox led Central with 24 points, followed by Darnell Wilks with 23. David Deisher had 17 points, and Jeremy Kimble added 10.
