The Eagle Ridge girls basketball team won the MCSAA Class 2A state championship under first-year coach Tonya Blunt.

The Eagles earned victories over Christian School of Springfield, 58-25, Liberty Christian Academy of Wright City, 53-18, and Training Center Christian School of Garden City, 37-25, to capture the championship.

Eagle Ridge was led in the tournament by Kristen Margrabe, who averaged 21 points per game at the tourney, Abby Cohen, who averaged 15 points, and Lyndse Hamby, who averaged nine points.

The Eagles finished the season with a 15-4 record.

Margrabe and Megan Woodall were named to the all-state team.
