The Quincy (Ill.) University soccer team has been dominant this season.

That domination continued Wednesday night as the Hawks ruined Southeast Missouri State's regular-season finale.

Division II Quincy scored a pair of second-half goals to hand the Division I Redhawks a 2-0 loss at Houck Stadium.

Quincy improved to 12-3-3 while Southeast fell to 8-8-1. The Hawks have outscored the opposition 35-5.

Both Quincy goals came in the final 25 minutes. Erin Conroy scored with a little more than 24 minutes left and Britttany Casey found the net about 13 minutes later.

The Hawks outshot the Redhawks 19-14. Jodi Chapie had two saves for the shutout.

Southeast freshman Jessica Grindstaff, making just her second start of the season in goal, was credited with seven saves.

Jackson High School graduate Lauren Drewett is a junior midfielder for Quincy. She has two career goals and two career assists.

Drewett, who has no goals or assists this season, has played in 15 of the Hawks' 18 games, making two starts. She played 25 minutes off the bench Wednesday.

Southeast will return to action Nov. 5 in the semifinals of the six-team Ohio Valley Conference tournament in Morehead, Ky.

The Redhawks, who tied for second place in the nine-team OVC, earned the No. 2 seed for the tournament and received a first-round bye.
