The Delta girls basketball team advanced to the finals of the Delta New Year's Tournament with a 49-35 victory against Oran on Wednesday.

Kaci Menz led the top-seeded Bobcats (7-2) with 18 points. Rachel Ware and Shea Smith scored 10 apiece for Delta.

Tiffany Glastetter led No. 5 Oran (1-4) with 10 points.

Delta will face No. 2 Greenville in the final at 5 p.m. Saturday.

Greenville defeated No. 3 St. Vincent 40-26. Kelsey Kutz led the Squaws in a losing effort with 10 points.

No. 4 Chaffee will meet No. 6 Woodland in the consolation final. Chaffee (3-7) beat East Prairie 57-21 on Wednesday, and Woodland beat Puxico 45-26.

Chaffee had three scorers in double figures, led by Kegan Orr's 16 points. Suzanne Reischman added 12, and Mindy Hendrix had 11.

Elisha Glastetter led Woodland with 16 points in its win, and Sasha Hutson and Amanda Abner scored 10 apiece.

Kent Deason scored a layin with two seconds remaining to pull out a comeback win on the road on Tuesday night.

Trailing 59-46 after three quarters, Kelly outscored Advance 31-17 in the final period. Kelly had to go the length of the quarter trailing 76-75 with six seconds remaining for the winning basket.

Kent Deason led the Hawks with 21 points, and Kendal Deason added 17. Michael Glastetter had 15.

Jeremy Limbaugh led Advance with 22 points, James Masters scored 19 and Jordan Seabaugh had 13.
