DELTA GIRLS REACH FINAL

DELTA -- Portageville and Delta will play in the championship game of the Delta Tournament tonight at 8:30.

In semifinal games Tuesday, Portageville beat Dexter 55-47 and Delta topped St. Vincent 55-47.

In consolation games Tuesday, Puxico handled Chaffee 64-57 and Woodland edged Oran 44-36.

Faith Whitson led Portageville with nine points in the first semifinal game. For Dexter, Heather Galloway and Mikalla Scott each had 19 points.

In the Delta-St.Vincent game, Erin Eftink scored a game-high 14 points; St. Vincent was led by Jessica Lakenan's 10 points.

In the Puxico-Chaffee contest, Jodi Pfefferkorn paced the Lady Red Devils with 21 points.

And in the other consolation game, Lindsey Allmon totaled 13 points and Sarah Booth finished with 11. For Oran, Sara Heisserer had a game-high 15 points.
