After opening the season with 16 straight losses, Scott City finally broke through with a road victory over Meadow Heights.

"You would've thought we won the state championship," Scott City coach John Nanney said of his team.

Nora Glastetter paced the Rams with 16 points, while Kelley Hicks and Whitney Tapley finished with 11 points apiece.

Amanda Hendrickson led Meadow Heights (1-15) with eight points.

Third-seeded New Salem Baptist of Marble Hill used a fourth-quarter comeback to knock off No. 2 Liberty Christian in the semifinal round of the SLMCAA conference tournament at Gateway Christian in St. Louis.

The Eagles (16-4) will take on top-seeded host Gateway (22-0) tonight in the championship at 8:30.

Jeremy Rockhill paced four Eagles in double figures with 19 points. Tyler Keys netted 14, Brett Jones had 11 and Joe Davault added 10.
