Deere edges Connell by two strokes

Evan Deere shot a 77 to defeat Corey Connell by two strokes in the boys 16 to 19 tour 18 holes division at the Gateway Junior PGA Series event Tuesday at Dalhousie Golf Course.

John Gilmore and Travis Simmons tied for first in the 14 and 15 tour 18 holes division with 81s. Brady Dixon carded an 82 to finish in third.

Sarah Bell won the girls 10 to 11 nine holes division with a 64.
