Twin Rivers 11, Woodland 1
The Twin Rivers Royals took a win at home against the Woodland Cardinals 11-1. Drew Soloman was dominant on the mound, as the starting pitcher he collected 13 strikeouts and only gave up five hits and one run over six innings while walking one. Twin Rivers had 11 hits in the game. Hester, Cayden Acre, Lilly, and B Dollins each collected two hits for Twin Rivers Varsity (Unofficial). Luke Hester went 2-for-4 at the plate as the leadoff hitter led the team with four runs batted in.
SOFTBALL
Poplar Bluff 8, Kelly 3
The Poplar Bluff Lady Mules softball team picked up their third consecutive win at home against the Kelly Lady Hawks 8-2 on Tuesday. Molly Eason earned the win for the Lady Mules. The righty gave up eight hits and three runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out one and walking five. The Lady Mules collected 14 hits in the game. Addison Valenzuela and Ashtyn Reese each collected three hits to lead the Lady Mules from the plate.
Twin Rivers 9, Van Buren 2,
The Twin Rivers Lady Royals held strong on the road to get a solid win over Van Buren 9-2. Alexis Parson was dominant on the mound for the Lady Royals with 13 strikeouts and gave up four hits and two runs over seven innings while walking two. The Lady Royals accumulated 10 hits in the game. Anne Mittelstadt went 3-for-5 at the plate to lead Twin Rivers hits.
Doniphan 16, Naylor 0
The Doniphan Donnettes put on a clinic on the road by scoring a series of runs to get a clean sweep over Naylor 16-0. Kylie Hawkins earned the win for the Donettes on the mound. They allowed zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out five and walking none.
The Donettes collected 11 hits in the game. Dalila Watson led Doniphan with two hits in three at bats.
