ST. LOUIS -- Tommy Corwin threw for 482 yards and three touchdowns and ran for a touchdown to lead DeSmet to a 48-31 win over Hazelwood Central in the Missouri Class 6 state championship on Friday.

The championship is the first in school history for DeSmet (11-2), which had 635 total yards.

Hazelwood Central (9-4) scored the first nine points of the game, then Corwin led the Spartans to 28 consecutive points.

Corwin threw scoring passes of 73 yards to Rob Witzl, 11 yards to Munir Prince and 23 yards to Wes Kemp. He finished the game 21-of-37, and Kemp caught 11 passes for 246 yards.

Class 4 Camdenton 36, Affton 19

Daniel Eidson threw two touchdown passes to lead Camdenton to a 36-19 win over Affton for the Missouri Class 4 state championship on Friday.

Eidson connected twice with Forrest Shock to propel the Lakers (14-0) to their first state title since 1995. Affton fell to 12-2.

Class 2 Cameron 64, Montgomery County 18

Drew Newhart passed for 354 yards and accounted for seven touchdowns -- four passing and three rushing -- as Cameron beat Montgomery.

The championship was the first for Cameron (14-0).

Montgomery County finished its season at 12-2.
