Garrett wins point-series event

Bob Garrett claimed first place in the point-series event at Dalhousie Golf Club, finishing plus-8 in the 18-hole event --match play vs. par.

Ray Silliman took second at plus-6, while Phil Cantoni, Ken Swinford and Troy Bell tied for third at plus-3.

Harding fires ace at Dalhousie

John Harding carded his second career hole-in-one Monday at Dalhousie Golf Club.

Harding used a 7-iron to ace No. 8, a par 3 playing 150 yards. Dean Edwards witnessed the shot.

Viers claims first at flag tournament

Tom Viers won the flag tournament Monday at Dalhousie Golf Club.

The winner was the player whose score covered the most holes with his handicap added onto par.

Ian Soutar placed second, Darrius Seabaugh was third and Brevin Giebler finished fourth.
