RICHMOND, Ky. -- Eastern Kentucky's Derick Logan and Corey Crume combined to rush for 190 yards and four touchdowns Saturday as the Colonels beat Tennessee Tech 26-7.

Logan ran 25 times for 107 yards and scored on runs of 1 and 5 yards. He also caught two passes for additional 50 yards.

Crume rushed 21 times for 83 yards, scoring on 3- and 4-yard runs. As a team, the Colonels rushed 57 times for 263 yards.

Eastern Kentucky (4-3, 3-0 OVC) led 12-0 when Tennessee Tech's Andre Caballero scored on a 15-yard run to cut the margin to 12-7 with just over a minute to play in the third quarter.

Crume and Logan each scored touchdowns in the final quarter to complete the scoring.

In addition to his 85 yards on the ground, Caballero also completed 18-of-30 passes for 218 yards for Tennessee Tech (4-3, 2-2 OVC).

Eastern Kentucky quarterback Simon Fuentes completed 9-of-19 passes for 129 yards.

E. Illinois 42, Austin Peay 14

CHARLESTON, Ill. -- Mike Simpson threw four touchdown passes Saturday in leading Eastern Illinois to a 42-14 win over winless Austin Peay.

The Panthers (7-1), ranked No. 9 in the latest Division I-AA poll, won their seventh straight game.

The Governors dropped to 0-7.

Simpson, a senior, completed 18 of 20 passes for 219 yards and threw touchdown passes of 11 and 12 yards to Anton Manuel, 12 yards to Seth Willingham and 16 yards to Noel Outlaw.

Eastern Illinois led 21-7 at the half.

Chris Black scored both of Austin Peay's touchdowns, on a 6-yard run and a 2-yard pass from Jason Stooksbury.

Eastern's Paul Massat caught seven passes for 61 yards.

Tennessee St. 27, Tenn.-Martin 20

MARTIN, Tenn. -- Todd Valentine hit Tyrone Butterfield with a 58-yard touchdown pass with 44 seconds left in the game Saturday to give Tennessee State a 27-20 victory over Tennessee-Martin.

Trailing 20-12 as the fourth quarter started, Tennessee State (2-6, 2-2 Ohio Valley Conference) tied it at 12:33 when Valentine hit Corey Sullivan with a 63-yard touchdown pass. Juan Hall caught the conversion pass to make it 20-20.

The loss of its homecoming game leaves Tennessee-Martin (0-8, 0-6) still seeking its first victory of the season.

Darriel Ruffin rushed for 104 yards and a touchdown for Tennessee-Martin.

Butterfield caught six passes for 172 yards. Sullivan caught five for 163 yards. Valentine completed 9 of 18 passes for 238 yards.

The victory snaps a 14-game losing streak on the road for Tennessee State.
