Tim Clark shot a 67 and Adam Scott had a 68 under windy conditions Saturday to join Angel Cabrera in the lead after the third round of the Nedbank Challenge in Sun City, South Africa.
Clark had the lowest round of the day at 5-under for a 209 total. Cabrera, who entered the round with a two-stroke lead after firing a course-record 64 on Friday, shot a 74.
Defending champion Retief Goosen (71) and American Jim Furyk (72) were one stroke behind the leaders.
Cabrera appeared to be coasting at 10-under on the 17th, but he chipped over the green into the water and made a double-bogey.
"The wind is going to play a role tomorrow, but it is going to be the same for everyone," Cabrera said. "The eighth and the 17th were very expensive for me. But I am still there and I will be in contention tomorrow."
Ai Miyazato shot a 6-under 66 to take a 12-shot lead into the final round of the LPGA Tour qualifying tournament in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Miyazato, the 20-year-old who already is a star in Japan, had a 17-under 271 total at LPGA International. Kate Golden (69) and Katie Futcher (71) were tied for second at 5 under. Morgan Pressel, the 17-year-old who tied for second in the U.S. Women's Open and won the U.S. Women's Amateur, was tied for 11th at 1 under after a 71.
The top 24 players will earn full LPGA Tour cards for next season.
Michael Allen shot a 3-under 69 for a share of the fourth-round lead with D.A. Points in the six-round PGA Tour qualifying tournament in Winter Garden, Fla.
The 46-year-old Allen, who has led at Orange County National since opening with a 64, matched Points (66) at 16-under 272. Tom Byrum (65) and John B. Holmes (67) were a stroke back, and Nicholas Thompson (64) and Scott Hend (64) were 14 under.
The top 30 and ties will earn full-exempt status for next year.
Australia's Robert Allenby completed a third-round 8-under 64 on Sunday for a share of the Australian PGA lead with Nathan Green.
Scotland's Simon Yates shot a 9-under 61 to take a two-stroke lead over Scotland's Colin Montgomerie and two others.
