CHICAGO -- The Southeast women's gymnastics team improved their record to 2-1 Saturday with a 187.550-186.725 dual victory over the University of Illinois-Chicago.

The Otahkians used team victories on the parallel bars (48.200-47.700) and vault (46.150-44-625) to offset close loses on the balance beam (46.425-46.000) and floor exercise (47.975-47.200).

Erin Chenier of Southeast won the all-around with a total score of 37.800. Chenier won the individual vault title with a score of 9.750 and placed third on the bars with a 9.400.

Teammate Malia Roberts took second in the all-around with a score of 37.500. Roberts also won an individual title, claiming the bars with a score of 9.675. Roberts also placed fifth on the balance beam, scoring 9.300.

Other top individual performances for Southeast were: Jennifer Leaman, second on vault (9.675); Kathy Smith, tied for third on vault (9.650); Ericka Harrison, third on beam (9.600) and fourth on bars (9.225); Amanda Gdovicak, fourth on floor (9.700).
