CHARLESTON, Mo. — After a rough start to the season, Charleston has won five of the past six games, including a 77-41 win over Kelly on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
The game was competitive in the first half with the Blue Jays (9-5) holding a 33-29 edge at halftime. However, Charleston put the game completely out of reach with an incredible second-half effort, where they outscored the Hawks (5-7) by a 35-3 margin in the third quarter.
PJ Farmer scored a team-high 18, while Rico Coleman added 15 and Ko’Terrion Owens and Almareion Williams each chipped in 13 for Charleston.
Kelly’s Michael Dollins scored a game-high 22.
Both teams return to action on Friday.
Charleston will host Sikeston (8-3), while Kelly will host Woodland (2-2).
