CHAFFEE -- Chaffee's Tommy Stidham provided four hits and two runs batted in and also got the win as the Red Devils handed Scott City a 14-4 loss in six innings Wednesday.
Stidham allowed three earned runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out eight in going the distance.
Garrett Senciboy had three hits and three RBIs, while Jason Harrell, Travis Hanback and Jeremy Lynn each had two hits for Chaffee (14-4, 4-1 Scott-Mississippi Conference). Scott City is 4-9 and 3-2.
Chaffee scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Delta 6, Meadow Heights 1
DELTA -- Terry Green struck out 14 in seven innings and went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI as the Bobcats won their first game.
Green gave up two hits and two walks.
Ryan Livingston went 2-for-3 with a double, a homer and two runs batted in for Delta (1-6). Lance Kinder went 2-for-4.
J.D. Brune suffered the loss in five innings for Meadow Heights.

Cape Central 129, Lutheran South 57
Cape Central won all nine events Wednesday as it improved to 9-3 on the season.
Sara Sprigg made a state-qualifying cut in diving with a score of 207.40. She is the first Central diver to qualify for state since 1994.
"The seniors are really coming through," Cape Central coach Dayna Powell said. "They're winning events that aren't even their events. We had a lot of good swims today."

Brett McDowell shot a 38 in leading three Jackson golfers who shot less than 40 at the par-35 Cape Girardeau Country Club.
Chris Pikey and Peyton Sims each shot 39s, while Gabe Estes shot a 41.
For Cape Central, Danny Groesbeck shot a 40, followed by Kent Phillips and Jeff Haycraft, who each shot a 41, and Luke Oliver with a 43.
ND wins triangular
Notre Dame's Nick Martin shot 3 over par as the Bulldogs shot a 166 to beat Kennett and Portageville at Bent Creek.
Kennett shot a 171, followed by Portageville's 190.
Tim Buerck and Lucas Klein both shot a 42 for Notre Dame, while Jordan Tatum shot a 43.
Perryville 164, St. Pius 176
PERRYVILLE -- The Pirates improved to 9-4 overall and 8-2 in the Jefferson County Conference with a 12-stroke win over St. Pius.
Bryan Besand and Mike Riney led the way with a score of 40 for Perryville, followed by Andy Tanz with a 41 and Derek Cattoor with a 43.
Perryville's junior varsity won 169-199 to go to 10-1 on the season.
GIRLS SOCCER
Optimist Spring Classic
Cape Central and Perryville each won matches in the event at Notre Dame.
Corie Nunnally had three goals and an assist as the Lady Tigers disposed of St. Vincent 9-0. Jennifer Daume scored two goals and Annie Christian, Lorie Bittle, Cameron Bennett and Kim Aslinger each scored one goal.
Bittle and Amber Voerg each had two assists for the Lady Tigers, who improved to 15-1-1.
Perryville topped Marion (Ill.) 4-0. Stacey Baer and Amanda Schumer each scored two goals. Assists came from Jamie Amberger, Britney Weibrecht and Melissa Riney.
Perryville is now 11-2-1.
TRACK AND FIELD
Central sweeps
JACKSON -- Cape Central's boys beat Jackson 111-35 and its girls won 77-69.
Central's Gabe Austin won both the 800 and the 1600. Courtney Haman won the high hurdles and the high jump, Dionna Webb took the 100 and the long jump and Heather Jenkins won the discus and the shot put.

Cape Central took a pair of games from Notre Dame, 8-7 in nine innings and 5-2.
Central's Jay Pierce had two hits in the opener and John Snider got a complete game win. In the nightcap, Pierce was the winner and Eric Grabel had two RBIs. The Tigers moved to 11-5.
