The Central track team had five event winners in girls division and seven in the boys at Saturday's Hazelwood Central meet.
The event had about a dozen teams but no team scoring. The top six finishers medaled.
The Central girls had four of the top six in the pole vault, paced by Limbaugh, who cleared 8 feet, 6 inches. Porter was second at 8-0, Beckett was fifth at 7-0, and Schneider was sixth by clearing the same height.
Other event winners for Central's girls were: the 3,200-meter relay team of Jen Pancoast, Lindsey Pingel, Holly Shaffer and Linnea Woldvedt in 10 minutes, 25.3 seconds; Pancoast in the 1,600 (5:37.20) and the 800 (2:34.50); and Woldtvedt in the 3,200 (13:00).
Also earning medals: Nicole Jackson, fourth in the 100-meter dash in 12.4 seconds and third in the 200 in 26.20; the 800 relay team, third in 1:51.80; Pingel, third in the 1,600 in 6:14.60; the 400 relay team, sixth in 52.90; Courtney Schuessler, fifth in the 400 in 1:06.60 and third in the high jump at 4-6; Renee Moreland, second in the 300 low hurdles in 52.90; Shaffer, second in the 800 in 2:35.70; Hannah Lewis, fifth in the 3,200 in 14:39; Nadia Cox, second in the long jump at 15-2.75 and fifth in the triple jump at 31-4; Dani Gross, third in the triple jump at 31-9.50; and Brianna Egbuka, fourth in the shot put at 31-4.
The Central boys also had four top pole vaulters. Andy Matthews and Lance Altenthal tied for first by clearing 11-6. Conrad Browne was third at 11-0 and Matt Willingham was fifth at 10-6.
Other event winners for the Central boys were Allen Walker in the 100 in 10.8 seconds; the 800 relay team of Allen Walker, Marcus Rice, Zeno Walker and Anwar Glenn in 1:32.4; John Kipper in the 1,600 in 4:49.0 and in the 3,200 in 10:25.10; Chase Johnson in the 800 in 2:14.10; Tyler Terry in the triple jump at 39-11.
Also placing for Central were: the 3,200 relay team, second in 8:57.60; Clayton Hill, sixth in the 110 high hurdles in 17.2 and sixth in the 300 hurdles in 47.5; Cory Huskey, second in the 1,600 in 4:57.9; Dan Austin, third in the 1,600 in 5:06.9; Beau Jordan, third in the 400 in 54.40; Darris Gerlach, fifth in the 300 hurdles in 46.9; Dale Brannock, fifth in the 3,200 in 11:52.00; Terry, second in the long jump in 18-6.25; Jared Thomas, third in the triple jump in 38-5 and third in the high jump at 5-6; Gabe Edwards, third in the shot put at 43-5; and Andrew Elizalde, sixth in the discus at 111-10.
