Megan McDonald, who led the Tigers with nine points, provided the spark with a buzzer-beating 3-pointer to end the first half. The shot closed Central's deficit to four at the break.

The momentum carried into the second half, as the Tigers outscored DeSoto 10-5.

Central will be on the road against Sikeston on Monday.

Notre Dame plans event between Friday games

Notre Dame will be induct its newest members into the Hall of Fame on Friday between the junior varsity and varsity basketball games with Poplar Bluff.

Previous "Hall of Fame" honorees will take part in the ceremony as well.
