Central's girls tennis team finished its dual season with a perfect 15-0 record following Monday's 9-0 sweep of visiting Sikeston.

Sarah Ford won the closest match of the day 8-6 in No. 1 singles over Jenni DeWitt.

The Tigers will start district play Friday.

SOFTBALL Jackson 8, Kelly 4

Jackson jumped on Kelly for seven runs in the second and held on for a road win.

Chelsea McDowell led Jackson's 10-hit attack with a home run and three RBIs. McDowell, Alisha Kraft and Amanda Pitts had two hits apiece for the Indians (16-9).

Darla Mangles struck out eight in a complete-game victory.

Londyn Backfish had a home run and went 3-for-3 for Kelly (21-6). Kalie Hughes and Sarah Ruff had two hits apiece.

Chelsea Olson had 11 assists and 14 digs, Chelsea Dale added nine digs and Ashley Soemo had four kills for the Indians (7-11-1).

JV -- Jackson won 25-12, 25-9.

Fred'town 18 25 25 Central 25 15 19

Rita Walter and Carissa Wheeler had 13 digs apiece for Central in a three-game road loss.

Kyla Valleroy had 11 assists for the Tigers (11-10-2), and Walter added three blocks.

JV -- Central won 25-21, 22-25, 27-25.

Perryville 15 25 25 Notre Dame 25 22 23

Perryville rallied to beat visiting Notre Dame.

Jocelyn Moll had nine kills, 10 digs and nine blocks for the Pirates (14-9-4).

Also for Perryville, Liz Martin had seven kills, eight blocks and 15 assists; Brittany Castleberry had nine kills, 14 digs and four aces; Lezlie Lundy had seven kills and five digs; and Ava Johnson added seven kills and four blocks.

Ashley Nenninger led the Bulldogs (11-9) with an astounding 26 kills, including 15 in the opening game. Meridith Medlin added seven kills and 26 assists. Aimee Ha had 10 assists, and Destiny Dirnberger had 10 service points and six digs.

JV -- Notre Dame won 25-16, 25-19.

Nicole Petzoldt had four kills, six blocks and six digs in a road loss.

Kari Hadler added five digs for the Crusaders (7-13-1), and Brooke Kasten had four assists.

Leopold 25 25 Woodland 18 13

Chelsie Morris had five kills in a losing effort.

Kyla Choate added eight digs for the host Cardinals (17-5-1), and Jessica Santi had four kills.

JV -- Leopold won 25-21, 25-16.

BOYS SOCCER Jackson 2, Belleville West 1 (OT)

Jackson's boys soccer team used a last-minute goal from Andrew Lorenz to tie the score at 1-1, and Lorenz added another goal in the first five minutes of overtime to give the Indians a 2-1 win Saturday over visiting Belleville (Ill.) West.

Matt Mueller had an assist.

The Indians improved to 10-4-3.
