EUREKA, Mo. -- Central senior Todd Obergoenner carded a one-over-par 73 to capture medalist for the second consecutive year in the Class 4, District 1 golf tournament at Aberdeen Golf Course on Monday.
Central finished second out of 10 teams with a 315 to qualify for the state meet. The Tigers finished with the same team score as Poplar Bluff, but the Mules won the tie-breaker. Both teams qualified for the state meet May 17-18 at Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield, Mo.
Senior Ty Gramling shot a 77 to tie for third and freshman Blake Driskell shot a 79 to finish sixth. Kirk Lohmann rounded out the Tigers' score with an 86.
Jackson finished fifth overall and was led by Blake McDowell, who shot an 80 and tied for seventh. McDowell was among the top 10 individual finishers who also qualified for state.

Dax Demaree of Dexter shot a 75 for the top individual score.

St. Vincent finished second with a 361 total at Eagle Lake Golf Course in Farmington, Mo., to qualify for the state tournament later this month.
The Indians finished nine strokes behind district champion Park Hills and four shots ahead of third-place Kennett.
Zachary Richardet led St. Vincent with a 16-over-par 88. Scott Prost and Danny Rellergert each shot 90, and Grant Pingel rounded out the team score with a 93.
Chris Collins of Kennett was the district medalist with an 82.
The Class 2 state tournament will take place at the Bill and Payne Stewart Golf Course in Springfield, Mo., on May 17-18.
