Garrett Stevens went 3-for-4 with a double, while Joe Uhls and Alex Shell each collected two hits in the loss.

Mark Himmelberg struck out 10 batters and got plenty of help from his offense as Notre Dame improved to 5-4 this season.

Austin Greer started the homer parade with a three-run shot to left in the first.

Himmelberg got in on the action too with a two-run bomb to right field, padding his team's lead to 8-4.

Jake Pewitt wrapped up the homers barrage with a two-run blast to left.

"Two out of the three were helped by the wind," Notre Dame head coach Jeff Graviett said of the three home runs. "The thing I liked about them is that we hit all of them hard."

He slammed the door on the Bobcats after Ryan Davis' rocky start. VanGennip struck out seven and walked five to pick up the win.

Wade Wiseman knocked in three runs and Rob Brown drove in two for the Wildcats (2-3) in the Oak Ridge tournament.

Cody Schrum struck out five in a losing effort.

The game was stopped after five innings because of darkness.
