The Central boys soccer team won its 11th straight game by posting a 2-1 victory Saturday against Springfield Parkview in Springfield, Mo.
Sam Bornstein gave the Tigers (11-1) an early lead with a goal at the 10-minute mark.
Parkview tied the game midway through the second half, but Tyson Whiteside put the Tigers ahead with a header with 5 minutes remaining. Justin Lambert had the assist.
Jordan Young was in goal for the Tigers.
JV -- Central won 2-0.
Jason Delgado scored in the first overtime as Notre Dame won its fourth straight with a road win.
Tyler LeGrand had the initial shot off a Frankie Ellis cross. LeGrand's shot appeared to be going in, but Delgado made sure of it. Nathan Kolda recorded the shutout.
Notre Dame improved to 9-2-1, and has a six-game unbeaten streak.
"We played well in stretches," Notre Dame coach Brad Wittenborn said. "We actually should have put this game away early."
JV -- Notre Dame won 3-0.
The Chaffee football team fell to 0-4 with its 28th consecutive loss Saturday afternoon on the road.
Kent Courtney scored the Red Devils' lone touchdown with a 7-yard run in the third quarter.
Maura Neader picked up Jackson's only win in a dual loss against visiting Nerinx Hall.
Jackson fell to 5-7 in dual matches.

New Salem Baptist Academy of Marble Hill compiled a 2-1 record and Eagle Ridge Christian School of Cape Girardeau was 1-2 in a meet with teams from the St. Louis region.
New Salem (4-2) topped St. Louis Christian Academy 26-24, 25-8 in their first game. Sarah Green had 11 service points and seven kills. Mary Poole had 10 points in New Salem's second-game, a 25-16, 13-25, 23-25 loss to People's Christian Academy of Arnold, Mo. In the final game, New Salem pounded Warernton, Mo., Liberty Christian 25-12, 25-8 with help from Laura Poole's 14 service points and 13 assists.
For Eagle Ridge, its lone win came with a 26-24, 25-17 decision against Liberty. Chelsey Clark had seven assists. Emily Schlegel had four aces. Eagle Ridge lost to COS of Hillsboro, Mo., 25-14, 25-19 and to People's 25-20, 25-15. Kristen Margrabe had eight kills against COS, and five kills against Peoples. Clark had 14 assists in the two losses.
