After two days and 159 games, only 11 youth soccer clubs out of 89 came away with division championships in the CAYSA Fall Classic which concluded Sunday at Shawnee Soccer Park. There were actually only 10 divisions, but co-champions were declared in the girls grades 1-2 division after a 0-0 tie between the Cape Lady Sharks and Perryville Blast...

After two days and 159 games, only 11 youth soccer clubs out of 89 came away with division championships in the CAYSA Fall Classic which concluded Sunday at Shawnee Soccer Park.

There were actually only 10 divisions, but co-champions were declared in the girls grades 1-2 division after a 0-0 tie between the Cape Lady Sharks and Perryville Blast.

In the other girls divisions:

The Jackson Lady Indians beat the Cape Flames 5-0 for the 3rd-4th grade title. In grades 5-6, the Cape Lightening shut out the Poplar Bluff Magic 4-0 and in the high school division, the Carbondale (Ill.) Sting beat the Perryville Lightning 2-0.

With only five teams competing in grades 7-8, the Perryville Blast won a round-robin tournament with a 3-0-1 record. The Blast beat the second-place Cape Sharks 3-0 to hand the Sharks (2-1-1) their only loss.

In boys action:

Cape Fear knocked off the Cape Kickers 3-1 for the 1st-2nd grade title. In the third-grade division, the Cape Strikers shut out the Cape Shooting Stars 2-0. For the fourth-grade title, the Jackson Warriors beat the Carbondale (Ill.) Crushers 3-1.

In grades 5-6, the Cape Lightning knocked off the Perryville Orange Crushers 4-1. In the 7th-8th grade division, the Perryville Orange Crushers beat Carbondale (Ill.) 1-0.
