PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Mark Mulder allowed one earned run over 3 2-3 innings, winning for the second time in the exhibition season as the St. Louis Cardinals routed the New York Mets 11-3 Friday.
Mulder gave up four hits and four runs overall. He left with a 3-1 lead.
Mets starter Jeremi Gonzalez gave up three runs -- one earned -- and five hits in three innings, and first-round draft pick Mike Pelfrey followed, allowing three un-earned runs and three hits in three innings.
Brian Daubach had two hits, including a double, and So Taguchi singled off both Gonzalez and Pelfrey.
Adam Wainwright, bidding for a spot in the Cardinals' starting rotation, allowed one earned run and six hits in 3 2-3 innings.
Cardinals infielder Hector Luna committed two errors.
