Milwaukee Brewers left-hander Chris Capuano was a last-minute addition Sunday to the NL All-Star team, replacing New York Mets left-hander Tom Glavine.

Capuano is 10-4 with a 3.21 ERA and 112 strikeouts in 129 innings for the Brewers, shutting out the Cubs on six hits Thursday night in his final start before the All-Star break. This will be his first All-Star game.

Glavine, 40, will attend Tuesday night's game in Pittsburgh, but chose to be replaced on the NL team because he started Sunday against Florida.

Cubs' Prior scratched

Chicago Cubs right-hander Mark Prior was a late scratch from Sunday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers because of strained muscle on his left side.

Prior, who is 0-4 with a 7.71 ERA, was replaced by Glendon Rusch (2-7).

White Sox win long game

Tadahito Iguchi hit a bases-loaded single in the bottom of the 19th inning Sunday and the Chicago White Sox beat the Boston Red Sox 6-5 in a 6-hour, 19-minute marathon -- the longest by innings in U.S. Cellular Field history.

It was the longest game by both innings and time in the majors this season.

Cliff Politte (2-2), the eighth White Sox pitcher, worked the top of the 19th for the win.

Pittsburgh beat Houston 8-7 in 18 innings on May 27. The game lasted 5 hours and 49 minutes and was the longest game this season by innings and time before Sunday.
