Plaza Tire Capahas pitcher Brad LaBruyere earned a victory in his first start on the mound this season.

LaBruyere tossed 7 1/3 innings, allowing two runs, one earned, on five hits and one walk while striking out 11 batters to help lead Plaza Tire to a 9-7 road victory over the Charleston Riverdogs on Thursday night.

The Capahas now lead the all-time series between the two teams 33-1.

Ivan Nails earned the save for the Capahas. He hurled 1 2/3 innings, allowing four runs, none earned. He struck out one and walked one.

Tom Bolen had a strong day at the plate. He went 3-for-5 with two singles, a double and one run batted in.

Chad Mercado and Kendal Deason each doubled for Plaza Tire, which improved its record to 6-3.
