The Cape Girardeau Ford and Sons Post 63 Senior American Legion baseball team split a doubleheader with visiting Steeleville, Ill., on Sunday.

Cape dropped the seven-inning opener 8-2 and won the five-inning nightcap 2-0 in action at Central High School.

Post 63 (11-9) managed just four hits in the first game that saw starting pitcher Ryan Ochoa leave after two innings with a pulled muscle around his rib cage area.
