MaShanda Reed drove in two runs as host Central avenged a loss suffered earlier this season with a 3-2 win over Notre Dame in softball action on Tuesday.
Kadie Orenstein was the winning pitcher, allowing four hits and striking out seven. She also went 2 for 3 at the plate for the Tigers (11-5). Morgan Duschell added two hits.
Nikki Peters took the loss in the circle. She allowed seven hits and recorded two strikeouts.
Carson Freeman had a double to pace the Bulldogs (16-4).
Central scored single runs in the third, fourth and fifth innings after Notre Dame had scored both its runs in the top of the second.
Notre Dame had previously posted a 3-0 home win over Central.

Ryan Palmer scored two goals and had one assist to lead the Crusaders to victory on the road.
Mitchell Cramer scored the other goal for Saxony Lutheran (3-7), while Luke LeGrand and Cory Williams each had an assist.
The Crusaders scored all three of their goals in the second half after the Eagles struck in the first half.
Goalkeeper Zach Beal snagged 11 saves for Saxony Lutheran.

Perryville continues pool play against Maplewood at 5:40 p.m. Thursday in Hillsboro, Mo. The Pirates will also play North County at 5:40 p.m. Friday before Saturday's finals.
