Plaza Tire pitchers threw a pair of three hitters as the Capahas swept the visiting Springfield Pallys on Sunday at Capaha Field.
Travis Hayes did not allow an earned run in the Capahas' 5-3 win in the opener, and Dylan Lynn blanked the Pallys in a 3-0 triumph in the nightcap.
"I threw a couple of my better pitchers because I knew they were going to be pretty good," said Capahas manager Jess Bolen, who saw his team improve to 10-2.
Hayes struck out eight and did not issue a walk in going the seven-inning distance in the opener.
The Capahas struck for two runs in the first and added one in the second for a 3-0 lead. Springfield pulled even with three unearned runs in the third inning as it took advantage of a pair of Plaza Tire errors, but the Capahas moved ahead for good with a pair of runs in the fourth.
Adam Connor went 3 for 4 with two RBIs to lead the Capahas' eight-hit attack.
In the nightcap, Lynn struck out seven batters and walked one.
The Capahas broke a scoreless deadlock in the fourth inning.
Plaza Tire collected three of its five hits in the fourth off Tyler Borski. Blake Slattery doubled and scored on a double by Kenton Parmley, who later was brought home on a single by Connor.
The Capahas upped their lead to 3-0 in the fifth inning.
Alex Heuring added a double for the Capahas.
Plaza Tire returns to action Wednesday when it visits the Charleston Riverdogs for a 7 p.m. contest.
