The Capahas banged out 22 hits in a 12-3 victory over visiting Fairview Heights on Saturday at Capaha Field.
Drew Morecraft went 4 for 6 and was among seven Capahas with multiple hits. Morecraft's hits included a double and a triple as he finished with two RBIs.
Adam Connor, who had three RBIs, Cody Gilbert and Laban Petzoldt all added three hits apiece for the Capahas, who improved to 11-4. Cody Heisserer, Kyle James and Cam Womack each had two hits. James and Womack each knocked in two runs.
The Capahas scored in all but two of their at-bats -- the first and seventh innings -- and never trailed in the game. The Capahas broke a 1-1 tie with two runs in the third and stayed out front. They led 10-2 after a four-run sixth.
Winning pitcher Lance Young was the first of three Capahas hurlers to throw three innings. Young allowed one run on four hits. He struck out two and did not walk a batter.
Dylan Lynn allowed two hits and one walk in his stint, striking out three and walking one. Drew Dowd allowed one run and one hit over the final three innings. He struck out one and did not walk a batter.
The teams were scheduled to play two games but agreed to play just one after Friday night's rain pushed back the starting time.
"We were happy to get a game in to tell you the truth," Capahas manager Jess Bolen said.
The Capahas return to action Monday with a 7:30 p.m. road contest against the St. Louis Bulls.
