Three Plaza Tire Capahas pitchers held the Riverdogs to two hits while striking out 13 in a 9-0 victory in Charleston, Mo., on Tuesday.

Jason Chavez tossed seven scoreless innings for the win. Chavez struck out nine, allowed two hits and did not walk a batter.

Scott Hubbard and Josh Parham each struck out two without a walk in an inning apiece.

The Capahas improved to 5-3 and will play at Fairview Heights (Ill.) tonight.

Plaza Tire scored two runs in the first and two runs in the second off Riverdogs starter Brandon Stearns before Stearns was removed in the second after being hit in the wrist by a line drive.

Chris Gibson and Levi Olson led Plaza Tire's offense with three hits apiece. The Capahas had 12 hits in all. Dustin Pritchett and Olson had two RBIs apiece.
