ST. LOUIS -- The Kohlfeld Capahas ran their season mark to 7-0 against O.B. Clark with a 9-3 victory Wednesday night. ST. LOUIS -- The Kohlfeld Capahas ran their season mark to 7-0 against O.B. Clark with a 9-3 victory Wednesday night.

The Capahas (30-4) pounded out 11 hits to support the pitching of Chad Bogenpohl and Danny Simpher.

Darrick Smith accounted for four of the hits and Lance Craft added a pair of safeties. Julio Vega and Darin Kinsolving both finished with two RBIs.

Bogenpohl pitched the first 5 2-3 innings and allowed six hits. He also walked six and struck out three. Simpher relieved in the sixth and pitched the final 2 1-3 innings, allowing two hits, striking out three and walking one.

The Capahas opened the scoring with three runs in the third and added two in the fourth for a 5-0 lead. After O.B. Clark scored one in the fifth and two in the sixth to trim the lead to 5-3, the Capahas iced the game with a four-run ninth.

The Capahas return to action Saturday with a 1 p.m. doubleheader at Valmeyer, Ill.
