The Burger King Capahas baseball team opened its 50th and final season under coach Jess Bolen with a 10-2 road victory over the St. Louis Bulls on Monday.

Ross James earned the win on the mound for the Capahas, going seven innings and allowing one earned run while striking out six and walking two.

Calvin Lovit threw two innings of relief.

Chase Simmons was 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs to lead the Capahas' offense, while Josh Haggerty was 2-for-4, Kyle James was 1-for-2 with a home run and Tyler Qualls was 1-for-2 with three walks.

James' home run came in the fifth inning.

The Capahas took a 3-2 edge into the eight inning, when they broke things open with a seven-run frame.

The Capahas are back on the field Friday night for their home opener at Capaha Park, hosting the St. Louis Spikes at 8 p.m. They'll then host Fairview Heights (Ill.) for a Saturday doubleheader starting at 1:30 p.m.
