The Plaza Tire Capahas struggled offensively and defensively Tuesday night in St. Louis.

As a result the host Raging Bulls recorded their first-ever win over the Capahas, a 7-1 decision.

"We've only played them the last couple of years, but it's the first time they've beaten us," Capahas manager Jess Bolen said. "They played a good ballgame and we didn't play well at all."

The Capahas, who fell to 22-6, had won all three previous games against the Bulls this season, including 8-0 on Friday in Cape Girardeau.

Bolen's squad committed five errors Tuesday, which resulted in six unearned runs. The Capahas managed just four hits off Ryan Willis, who struck out eight while pitching all nine innings.

"We only beat him 2-1 in Cape," Bolen said. "He was good then, and I thought he was better tonight. He's a good pitcher. You've got to give him credit."

Kyle Marshall suffered the loss. He also pitched a complete game. He allowed eight hits and just one earned run while striking out eight and walking two.

The Bulls scored two runs in the first inning and made it 7-0 with five unearned runs in the third inning.

"He pitched very good," Bolen said. "We just didn't play defense. After the third inning, he really shut them down."

The Capahas' only run came in the fourth inning when Jason Blum tripled and scored on Dustin Hunter's single.

Sean Bard doubled and Joe Campbell singled for the Capahas' other hits.

The Capahas' scheduled game tonight at Fairview Heights, Ill., has been canceled.

The Capahas return to action Saturday with a 5 p.m. home doubleheader against a team from Little Rock, Ark.
