Bulldogs earn road victory

Austin Greer poured in 20 points and Jacob Tolbert netted 13 points to help Notre Dame beat Anna-Jonesboro, Ill., 62-48 on the road Saturday in boys basketball action.

John Unterreiner added 13 points for Notre Dame.

The score was tied 28-28 at halftime, but Notre Dame (13-7) broke it open in the third quarter when it outscored the home team 16-4.

Notre Dame plays SEMO Conference opponent New Madrid County Central on the road Tuesday night.

The Tigers roared past the Kougars behind a 25-point outpouring in the fourth quarter.

Senior Wendi Zickfield scored 32 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Central (7-10). Sadie Pittman added 12 in the win.

The Tigers went 22 of 34 (65 percent) from the free-throw line.
